Guide

How BabelStack works, from upload to export.

What BabelStack does

BabelStack reads the Chinese subtitles burned into donghua and manhua videos. It translates every line, lets you review it next to the video, and exports subtitle files or a new video with the translation burned in.

Uploading

Upload an MP4, MOV or MKV video. You can also upload an existing subtitle file (SRT, ASS or VTT) to translate it.

BabelStack finds where the subtitles sit in the picture by itself. If it misses some, draw a reading area around them; a box that cuts through a line is widened to fit it.

Pick the language to translate into and the output you want. Bilingual output puts the original Chinese under the translation.

Add a glossary to keep character names and terms consistent across episodes.

Reviewing

When processing finishes, open the project in the editor. Play the scene, fix wording, adjust timing, and change the subtitle style and position before you export.

Exporting

Download SRT, ASS or VTT subtitle files, or render a video with the subtitles burned in.

Files, privacy and payments

Finished files are kept for 3 days, then deleted. Download what you need before then.

Payments are handled by Stripe. BabelStack never stores your card details.

Questions

Do I need to review the result?
For anything you publish, yes. Machine reading and translation make mistakes; the editor is there so you can catch them before export.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, from your subscription page.
What if I run out of minutes?
Upgrade your plan or buy a one-time 180-minute (3-hour) pack.
